Rimanto is a character that was created by Lewis Wamwanda in his poem “when I marry Rimanto”. The poem hit the literary world and within a span of a week, received responses from poets across Africa. Rimanto is believed to be a woman of bewitching beauty whom men can’t afford to look at without salivating. The gods blessed her with all that African beauty entails. She has the curves, the height, a sweet voice and a character to admire. she is also a daughter to a chief. Despite having many admirers, Rimanto has created a lot of enemies who can’t stand her success. This has created a gap between her lovers and admirers, and her enemies. This book also incorporates poems from Poets in Africa who came together to voice the African Culture.
