DON’T CALL ME LOVE

June 24, 2020 Off By Cornelius Kipkosgei

Don’t call me love
When your heart is with another
Disguising yourself as her brother
And chase my heart that you’ll never have.

Don’t call me love
When you lock your chest with her bosom
Your hearts beating in perfect harmony
And say it is a kind of love I can’t fathom.

Don’t call me love
When the night is still young
Not when you’ll then despise me like dung
And leave my pained heart pulsating with pus.

Don’t call me love
When you call her sweet names
Cuddle and show her off like an idol
And promise me bliss within earshots.

Don’t call me love
When I would stand between your vows
That hold and bind till death
And head into a storm of galling uncertainties.
