You were my light once
My darkness twice
My pain thrice
Remind me once again

You were my happiness thrice
My sorrow twice
My joy once

So when I see you lowered
In that dark pit they call a grave
Tears sting my eyes
Just a reminder of memories lost

As you closed your eyes forever
You closed your pain with it
Twice I thought of you
Once, I wanted to follow your path

Remind me again
That death is just a bridge
Once crossed can’t be re-crossed
Twice I still think

Fare thee well
I will remember you, not once
I will forget you not
Memories linger, tears sting
